First Fruits

The first fruits of our labor! This year Tanya and I planted a garden in our back yard. It was a little late in the season when we sowed our seeds, but with California's climate we figured we would still be able to grow veggies late into the fall. We were right, here are the first of our crop that includes zucchini, squash, tomatoes, green peppers, and collard greens. Health isn't a destination it's a lifestyle.

So true. What lovely vegggies. My husband has the green thumb, and he so much miss California's soil. He use plant so much, I really miss the brocolli.
Thanks for sharing!

Bed In Summer

In winter I get up at night

And dress by yellow candle-light. 。

In summer quite the other way,

I have to go to bed by day.

I have to go to bed and see

The birds still hopping on the tree,

Or hear the grown-up people's feet

Still going past me in the street. 。

And does it not seem hard to you,

When all the sky is clear and blue,

And I should like so much to play,

To have to go to bed by day?
